testosterone replacement therapy for Low T
Low T is a treatable disorder

In recent years, a number of national studies have shown that men are taking a more active role in preserving their health and beauty, and that they’re breaking with many once-pervasive stigmas in the process.

For instance, reports from 2012 detail how certain male demographics are seeking cosmetic procedures normally associated with preventing female aging that can help them recapture a more youthful appearance.

However, these procedures, while beneficial in fighting the external signs of work fatigue and aging, do little to treat the underlying causes that could be the main contributors of the visible symptoms.

In many cases, there are internal medical concerns that require treatment by experienced Restorative Medical Doctors.

As men age, they naturally experience a decline in sex hormones called androgens (aka: Low T), which promote lean body mass and muscle strength.

As such, a loss in these hormone levels can lead to reductions in energy, libido, muscular strength, and in extreme cases, even erectile dysfunction and depression, in addition to physical signs of aging.

At Longevity & Stem Cell Centre of Houston, we’ve been helping men of all ages recapture their youthful energy and vigor through testosterone replacement therapy for Low T since 1998.

Our six-month treatment has helped countless patients secure results that leave them with the improved physical physique and mental outlook they need to excel in the workplace and at home.

Pellet therapy for men

Though creams and injections are often favored for hormone replacement therapy by some anti-aging doctors, at Longevity & Stem Cell Centre of Houston, our team has come to a different conclusion.

After seeing years of success with our clients, we recommend compounded pellet hormone pellets, as they can be easily placed under the skin and absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

Unlike alternative methods, with pellet treatment, follow-up appointments are only required once or twice a year.

There are no pills, patches or injections to worry about, simplifying your daily regimen and leaving you with more time to enjoy the results.

Possible side effects

While many of the men who use testosterone treatments see substantial benefits, side effects, though rare, do occur.

For instance, male pattern baldness, gynecomastia (an enlargement of the breasts) and increased water retention may result in some who pursue this treatment.

Though, you should note, these are generally associated with large doses, such as the kind taken by professional bodybuilders or athletes.

Decreased normal testosterone production

In some cases, prolonged or excessive testosterone therapy can require additional Restorative Medical measures.

Men who have undergone too much of this type of therapy could stop producing gonadotropin, a natural hormone that aids in sperm production and contributes to healthy erections.

Still, this why we recommend that our treatments be prescribed in cycles. By varying the drugs used in treatment and monitoring the results with a doctor, you can ensure you avoid any of these potentially negative side effects.

Additional Therapeutic Options

In conjunction to the replenishment of Testosterone, prescriptive medications like Stendratm may be warranted.  Stendratm is the first and only FDA-approved drug for Erectile Dysfunction that can be taken as early as 15 minutes before sexual activity.

This and other options will be discussed in consultation.

Taking steps to secure treatment

While you may see some of the signs of a hormone imbalance, how can you tell for sure if hormone replacement therapy is right for you? The answer is easy.

By filling out a simple questionnaire – which features questions like “Have you lost height?” and “Are you falling asleep after dinner?” – and scheduling an appointment to discuss your health with one of our expert doctors, you can begin your path to a more youthful and energized you.
